The Foundry Crane Ladle Hook Spreader is a heavy-duty load balancer and spreading beam engineered specifically for molten metal ladle handling in foundry, steelmaking, and metallurgical environments. It distributes crane hook load across multiple lifting points, preventing ladle tilt, uneven stress, and rope/cable wear. It can withstand extreme heat, heavy cyclic loads, and harsh industrial conditions.
Its structure consists of hook parts, beam component, reliable connection and suspension devices. With high strength steel, it has the ability to lift over large spans, making full use of the advantages of the gantry crane to lift heavy and large-volume objects, meeting the lifting requirements of large-scale objects in industrial and construction fields. It is equipped with multiple hooks for coordinated operation, enabling the lifting of large-sized objects with irregular shapes and uneven centers of gravity, better controlling the balance and posture, and reducing the risk of lifting.
It has flexible positioning and moving capabilities, allowing for precise position adjustments in both horizontal and vertical directions. This advantage is beneficial to logistics handling and production assembly. Moreover, gantry ladle hook has high safety and reliability, with overload protection, limit switches, emergency braking and other devices.
It is a spreader specially for ladle lifting, which undertakes the lifting work of various kinds of materials, guaranteeing the smooth progress of the production process.
It consists of fixed pulley sets, crossbeams, welded connectors, stacking hooks and heat-insulating parts. All components work together, the pulley block facilitates the lifting operation.
The load capacity ranges from 5 tons to 150 tons, which can meet the needs of different sizes and weights of ladles.

A1: Standard models range from 5 tons to 500 tons SWL. We also engineer custom spreaders beyond this range for ultra-large ladles and tundishes. All units are individually load-tested and certified before shipment.
A2: The spreader is constructed from heat-resistant alloy steel with optional ceramic insulation layers on contact surfaces. The design accounts for thermal expansion, and critical joints use high-temp lubricants rated above 600°C. We also offer water-cooled attachment options for the most demanding furnace environments.
A3: Yes. The spreader connects directly to standard crane hooks via its top attachment point. The bottom hooks or shackles attach to the ladle's lifting ears or trunnions. No crane modification is required. We provide rigging diagrams for safe setup.
A4: Regular inspections should include:
A5: Absolutely. Ladle shapes, trunnion positions, and lifting ear configurations vary by manufacturer. We accept CAD drawings or physical samples and can design a spreader with the exact span, attachment points, and capacity you need. Typical lead time for custom units is 3–6 weeks with engineering drawings provided for approval before production.
